Network Integration Engineer

Location: APG, MD

Summary
T2S Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer / Tactical Network Integration Engineer to support the design, configuration, integration, and testing of modern tactical network systems in laboratory and operational environments. This position supports Army network modernization efforts and requires hands-on experience with physical and virtual test environments, RF and MANET networking, SDN solutions, secure communications, and interoperability testing across multiple platforms and echelons.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting system-of-systems analysis, network test events, requirements reviews, technical evaluations, and mission command systems in support of Army or DoD operational objectives.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong tactical networking experience who can bridge system design, lab integration, technical testing, and operational mission support. This person should be comfortable working in dynamic test environments, solving interoperability challenges, and supporting Army stakeholders through all phases of evaluation and integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, configure, and maintain laboratory-based physical and virtual network test environments
  • Participate in Soldier Touch Points (STP) and other large-scale test and evaluation activities
  • Support Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) events and operational exercises in support of Army modernization initiatives
  • Configure and evaluate Software Defined Networking (SDN) solutions for backhaul transport using LEO, MEO, GEO, and BLOS communications paths
  • Configure and support NGC2 voice solutions, including Instant Connect Enterprise (ICE), on Nett Warrior End User Devices supporting the ATAK application
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot RF MANET networks using single-channel and dual-channel radios to support mission requirements
  • Evaluate and test mission command software routing capabilities for CoT, VMF, and PLI traffic
  • Lead systems architecture efforts focused on solution design, interoperability, and integration across platforms and echelons
  • Set up and sustain SDN test bed infrastructure, including VMware, Dell servers, Cisco networking equipment, BFT simulation environments, mission command systems, and RF modeling/simulation tools
  • Utilize HAIPE devices, including TACLANEs, KIVs, and KGs, to enable secure Army network communications and testing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, systems engineering, or related field; equivalent military or technical experience may be considered
  • Experience supporting tactical network integration, systems testing, or communications engineering in a DoD or Army environment
  • Knowledge of test planning, system verification, validation, and readiness review processes
  • Experience with physical and virtual lab environments, including VMware-based infrastructure
  • Experience configuring Cisco network equipment and enterprise/lab network architectures
  • Experience with RF communications, MANET networking, and tactical radio integration
  • Familiarity with ATAK, Nett Warrior, and mission command systems
  • Knowledge of SDN technologies and transport architectures, including BLOS, LEO, MEO, and GEO solutions
  • Experience reviewing technical documentation and requirements packages from contractors and government stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional engineering and program management teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Army modernization, NGC2, Project Convergence, or Network Integration Events
  • Experience with MMC-S or similar mission command platforms
  • Familiarity with CoT, VMF, and PLI traffic routing and interoperability
  • Experience with BFT simulation environments and RF modeling/simulation tools
  • Knowledge of secure communications equipment, including TACLANEs, KIVs, and KG devices
  • Active security clearance

Compensation: 160-190k (DOE)
