Summary
T2S Solutions is seeking a highly capable Field Systems Technician responsible for on-site maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of satellite ground facilities worldwide. This role requires a self-directed person who is equally comfortable working with networked systems, software deployments, and hardware installations in remote and international environments. The ideal candidate is independent, reliable, and an excellent problem solver who thrives in hands-on field work and extensive travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel internationally to satellite ground sites and partner facilities to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Execute hardware installations, replacements, and upgrades, including servers, networking equipment, RF support hardware, and peripheral systems
• Perform software deployments, updates, patches, and configuration changes for ground systems, control software, and monitoring tools
• Configure and troubleshoot IP networks, firewalls, switches, and remote access systems
• Diagnose and resolve system, network, and hardware faults in field environments, often with limited remote support
• Validate system functionality post-update and return sites to full operational readiness
• Maintain accurate field documentation, site configurations, inventories, and reports
• Support emergency or rapid-response troubleshooting when required

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree, technical diploma, military training, or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, or a closely related field
• Experience in field engineering, network operations, or similar hands-on technical roles
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining both hardware and software systems
• Ability to work independently and responsibly in remote or international locations
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively internationally, including extended trips
• Valid passport and ability to meet international travel requirements
• Must possess an active security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting satellite ground stations and / or remote communications facilities
• Familiarity with RF-adjacent systems, timing systems, or antenna support infrastructure
• Experience with configuration management, automation tools, or scripting
• Prior work in aerospace, telecommunications, or critical infrastructure environments
• Experience working in secure or regulated environments
